Is your child struggling in school?

We can help.

Parents often watch their children struggle with academics for years and do not know why. Typically this struggle leads to decreased confidence, acting oct, and avoidance of school work, altogether. For many, however, the academic struggle may be because of a learning disorder. A comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation is designed to stop the guessing game and identify the cause of unsatisfactory academic performance in children and teens. We provide extensive evaluations for individuals ages 3 and up. Our evaluations meet the majority of documentation guidelines for  Alabama Pre-K through 12th grade Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 requirements.  Our evaluations consists of an assessment of psychological aspects of learning and academic skills. Our battery includes measures of intellectual, educational, emotional,  and behavioral functioning.  Psychoeducational testing is often necessary to accurately provide an educational diagnosis and define the particular challenges a student is facing. We specialize in dyslexia evaluations and recommendations.
